Wins for EFC and Eltham Town Reserves see them progress in the cups, as Meridian kept the Division One Title race alive
There were few games owing to it being Easter Weekend, but some important cup games.
EFC won through in the Ron Pope Cup Quarter-Finals, 4-2 against Kingsdale. Tudor Sports Reserves also came through, but not as they would have wished, as Danson were unable to field a side to face them. The semi-final draw is mouth-watering, with all sides being in the top five of the Premier Division or top two of Divison One:
Centresports (current holders) vs Tudor Sports Reserves (Premier Division winners-elect)
EFC (hoping for their first silverware) vs Ten Em Bee (runners up in BDFL cup and league last season) or Meridian (unbeaten in 2018)
In the Elizabeth Jaques Cup, Eltham Town Reserves defeated Junior Reds to progress to the . Zack Fahey scored twice in a 3-1 win. Top of Division Three, this could be a hugely successful season for Eltham Town Reserves. The semi-final draw is now complete, with 3 teams from Divison Three, showing how strong that division has been this season:
Eltham Town Reserves vs Old Bromleians Thirds
Old Colfeians Blue vs Seven Acre Sports
In the only league action, Meridian kept their impressive form going, with a slim 1-0 win over River Plate, Harry Bugden with the winner. They kept in touch with Danson Sports in the race for the title, with the two set to meet on 14th April.
