The Bromley and South London Football League was founded in 2017, following a merger between the South London Football Alliance and the Bromley and District Football League. Both of those leagues had a long and rich history that is covered below.
The first league title in 2017-2018 was won by Tudor Sports Reserves. They went on to win the Queen Mary Cup too, in a hugely successful season. The Ron Pope Cup final was abandoned following a brawl. The Elizabeth Jaques Cup was won by Old Colfeians Blue.
The league had to contend with the Covid outbreak in the 2019-2020 season, meaning that all of the competitions were null and void. The league also went from 46 teams at the start of that season to a record low of 35 by the time the 2021-2022 season ended. The league shrunk from four divisions to 3 for the 2022-2023
